Year 4 Digital Drawing

Year 4 students are learning how to use the app Sketchbook. They will have the opportunity to know or be able to:

* create original artworks using a photo layer as a guide
* develop fine motor skills using a stylus 
* understand the layout, functions and tools of the app
* work in layers (like Photoshop)
* transfer traditional drawing knowledge to a digital context
* use values of a colour to create realism and enhance their drawings with  
   a WOW factor!
* use their own imaginative ideas
* start develop their own style of drawing

 We are currently working on portraits but some students understand that the more we practise...the better we will be.
Here are some extra examples that students have emailed in.

Here come the portraits! 
We have learnt to use at least 2 values of skin colour to show that our faces aren't flat. The darkest skin tone is placed where the shadows are on our face. Our hair, eyes and clothes also have different values.
