Digital Art and cool APPS

The art programme is balanced with experiences and development of skills using traditional and digital media. Students in years 4-6 use their ipads during art lessons and for home learning assignments.
Apps are constantly changing and we endeavour to keep our students up to date with 21st century learning.

1. Sketchbook Pro (or Express)
2. Kidpix (see explanation below from 2013)
3. Comic strip
4. iphoto (photography focus in term 3)

(Apps as above in year 4)

1.Calligraphy Art

* as above in years 4 & 5

It takes AGES reviewing apps! I have deleted more than I can recommend at this stage.

Usually the freebies have a 'catch' and one ends up paying for the upgrade.

My goal has been to find an app for years 4-6 students to display their best pieces of art on their ipads.
(we won't have to wait for them to scroll through 1000's of photos in their camera roll!)
I've tried most of the gallery type apps and although it's fun to move through different rooms with students artwork on the walls, we can't see the work up close.
I've recommended Kidpix for the girls as they can manage their own gallery of work and the NOTES tab allows for written reflections. The cost is FREE to download....but...the UNLIMITED ARCHIVES needs to be purchased for $2.59. (otherwise you can only hang 5 pieces of work on your gallery wall....that's the catch!) It comes with quite a few frames but for another $2.59 you can purchase more as an optional extra. (prices subject to change ...of course!)

We are sharing art apps in class!

(these are the ones Ms Parker has...she had to delete a few because her ipad is full!!)
